In the summer of 2013, word hit the automotive news junket that Jaguar was experimenting with aluminum architecture for its next generation models. But that wasn't all. They also announced they were developing a crossover using the same technology, and even debuted a concept called the C-X17 at that year's Frankfurt Motor Show.
As fate would have it, the prototype was quite well received, and the folks at Jaguar decided they should create an iteration destined for production. As such the F-PACE was born.
Announced at this year's Detroit Auto Show, the F-PACE is set to be a seductive, dynamic, and powerful vehicle. Its design will be unveiled later this year, with a street date set for 2016. Get the first teaser for the Big Cat's latest family member in the video below.
