We had a feeling that with this year's Frankfurt Motor Show would come something big from Jaguar. It turns out we were right, and last week, our favorite British sports car maker debuted the new C-X17 Concept to the world.

This new concept from Jaguar is the brand's first attempt at a utility vehicle. It utilizes advanced aluminum lightweight architecture that promises to be just as durable as steel while improving overall fuel economy. Jaguar has already announced that this aluminum technology will soon be used in the next-generation versions of models like the XF and the Jaguar XJ.

Jaguar gave no mention to the vehicles drivetrain and instead kept the focus on the building materials used to make the car as well as the design of the body and the technology inside.

Jaguar's Global Brand Director, Adrian Hallmark, commented on the vehicle's release, saying, "The C-X17 sports crossover represents an exciting new direction for Jaguar. Its purpose is to highlight our all-new aluminum architecture. With this technical foundation, we will dramatically bring technology from our top-of-the-range products into new growing premium segments, and when combined with our new ultra-efficient engines we will set a new global standard."1

We can't wait to see what new technology spins off this innovative concept and makes its way into the lineup of new Jaguar models. You can learn about all that a new or used Jaguar has to offer when you stop by our showroom located at 7025 Old Katy Rd. Houston, TX and test drive one today.
