There are big things on the horizon for our favorite British automaker. After a recent report from Edmunds.com, we have learned that Jaguar may be developing two entirely new vehicles to take on other types of vehicles in the automotive market.

With new Jaguar vehicles like the F-TYPE, Jaguar has already decided to push its way into the sports car category, but after we learned about some recent patent filings, it appears that a small sedan and a crossover could potentially be in the works.

Jaguar has always been known for developing full-size and coupe luxury sedans, but Officials believe that they can carve out a bigger share of the market with a small sedan that can compete with Bimmer's 3 Series. This small car project is being called the XS for now, and Jaguar has said that we could see a version of this new model by 2015.

As for the crossover, Jaguar recently filed with the U.S. Patent and Trademark office for the name "XQ". While Land Rover takes on the traditional SUV segment, Jaguar could be in a perfect spot to introduce a powerful CUV into the marketplace. It could possibly even be built on the Land Rover D7u platform used on several luxury SUV models now.

Unfortunately, these are all the details we have for you right now, buy we will be sure to keep you updated on these projects right here on our blog.
