Jaguar's mastered its ability to craft luxurious, powerful new Jaguar vehicles; that's a fact. Taking on new challenges is part of what keeps the brand name strong, and one of the most recent and relevant challenges is its new take on creating its first-ever utility vehicle.
Back in September, we mentioned this venture when Jaguar's C-X17 Concept debuted at the Frankfurt Motor Show. After seeing the C-X17 Concept, which was armored in advanced aluminum lightweight architecture, we have no doubt that this vehicle will bring cutting-edge technology and pristine style and performance that other vehicles in the segment will have a tough time matching up against.
Since that time, we've recently viewed spy shots of Jaguar's crossover mule out testing the roads. Immediately, we'll be the first to tell you that the crossover will not have the XF shape shown on the mule. It will have the a body resembling the aforementioned C-X17.
On the other hand, we could definitely see Jaguar using similar headlights that the XF possesses, and it's about the same length as the XF. It will certainly be taller and the tire rack will widen, but we admit Jaguar's done a good job keeping us in suspense. For now, we predict the crossover will be powered by a 3.0-liter supercharged V6 in the base model and higher trims will carry a 5.0-liter V8.
What do you think? Leave us your opinion here on our blog, and together we will be updated on Jaguar's latest and see how it pans out.
In the meantime, we invite you to Jaguar Houston Central in if you'd like a closer look at our current lineup or have other questions about the brand. We look forward to serving you!
