Looking for a thrilling luxury performance SUV? The new Jaguar F-PACE is an exceptional option, with fine features, exquisite styling, and premium performance--but some drivers also consider the Mercedes-Benz GLC. Both vehicles offer you a classy ride with plenty of power and advanced features, but which vehicle is right for you and yours? We at your Houston Jaguar dealer are dedicated to helping you find the right ride for you, so we've put together a brief comparison of these two luxurious performance SUVs:

Premium Performance Power

With both the F-PACE and the GLC, you're offered multiple engine options. The F-PACE comes equipped with 2.0-liter turbo I4 engine featuring 247 horsepower, and an available 5.0-liter supercharged V8 engine more than doubles your power with up to 550 horsepower and 502 pound-feet of torque.

The base Mercedes-Benz GLC's standard turbo I4 offers up nearly as much power as the base F-PACE with its 241 horsepower, but the top of the line AMG 4.0-liter V8 twin-turbo motor falls well behind the supercharged Jaguar, earning just 469 horsepower and 479 pound-feet of torque. Whether you choose four-cylinder or eight, the F-PACE clearly outclasses the GLC when it comes to power.

SUV Versatility

When you choose a luxury sport utility vehicle, you expect a lot of versatility and utility. The Jaguar F-PACE seats five comfortably and has a cargo capacity of 33.5 cubic-feet--plenty of room for the whole crew's gear. Need more space? Fold the second-row seats, and you'll open up 63.5 cubic-feet of cargo space.

The Mercedes-Benz GLC also seats five, but you'll find only 19.4 cubic-feet or cargo space available. If you fold the rear seats, you'll expand that capacity to 56.5 cubic-feet, but that's still significantly less space than the F-PACE. If you're looking for cargo capacity and general versatility from your SUV, the F-PACE is a great pick.
