Jaguar Introduces New Diesel Versions of its XE, XF and F-Pace Models

For 2017, Jaguar is pleased to introduce diesel versions of three of its most popular models - the XE, XF and the F-Pace - to the U.S. market.

Why is Jaguar choosing this moment in time to bring diesel engine technology to the U.S.? Because Jaguar's diesel engines feature state-of-the-art technology and deliver exceptional gas mileage. There's still a strong appetite for the latter among American drivers. What makes them different from their gas-powered counterparts? Watch this Jaguar video, featuring driving expert Ben Collins, to find out.

Diesel models include in the Jaguar lineup include the XE, XF and F-Pace. The XE 20d is a small luxury sedan, the XF 20d is a larger, roomier midsize luxury sedan, and the F-Pace 20d is Jaguar's all-new luxury SUV model. All three vehicles are powered by a 2.0-liter turbodiesel four-cylinder engine that makes 180 horsepower and 318 pound-feet of torque.

Jaguar diesel models feature a Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) system that involves the use of Diesel Emissions Fluid (DEF), a urea-based exhaust solution that neutralizes smog-forming nitrogen oxides by converting them to harmless nitrogen gas. The fluid has to be refilled once a year - it's easily done through a filler cap and reservoir located in the trunk of any Jaguar diesel vehicle.
